On the Job Learning - Getting Fit to Survive
The Tourism Industry Association of New Zealand (TIA) in conjunction with the Aviation Tourism and Travel Training Organisation (ATTTO) recently produced an eleven minute video entitled "On the Job Learning - Getting Fit to Survive". This covers some of the findings of the Tourism Workforce and Skills Projections Research, and provides information on training in the workplace which is seen as a valuable staff retention strategy. The video also profiles Whakarewarewa Thermal Village in Rotorua, a small tourism enterprise which has successfully implemented on-job training, assisted by ATTTO.
